What’s happening at Karavela

Karavela secures €2M in pre-seed funding from HCVC, Daphni and First Momentum aiming to collect the training data needed to build a foundation model of the brain.

Using a pre-existing data collection of 16+ hours of data in 8 participants, we train models that reconstruct the text heard by participants from acquired fMRI signal and study how their performance changes with training data size and stimuli overlap.

Karavela aims to collect the biggest dataset in the world to better understand the human brain, bring new insights to clinical trials and crack brain decoding!
